Chris Rotolo – Founder/Editor in Chief
A graduate of Middletown North, Chris Rotolo’s love for the local game developed in high school where he would join the Lions fan section at the Jersey Shore Arena in Wall on wintery weeknights, before seeing those Shore Conference stars shine that summer in Jim Dowd’s annual Shoot For the Stars Shore All-Str Game. Years later, after graduating from the College of New Jersey in 2011, Rotolo found a home at the Asbury Park Press (APP) – the paper he grew up reading – and held his position until September of 2017. While with the APP, Rotolo had the opportunity perform what he considered his “dream job,” covering Shore Conference Hockey for a living. With the help of his partners in the local hockey community and his incredible colleagues, Rotolo founded the APP All-Star Hockey Classic in August 2015, continuing the Shore’s tradition of an annual summertime showcase featuring the top high school players in Monmouth and Ocean County. In 2017 the APP Hockey Classic raised $10,000 for the Brick Stars Challenger Hockey Club. Rotolo looks forward to expanding hockey coverage at the Shore through his latest endeavor, the Shore Hockey Report.
